Terms of Service

Effective date: May 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using RenameHub (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including those who access only the public website.

2. Description of service

RenameHub provides a web-based platform for batch file renaming using template-based rules and AI-assisted classification. The Service integrates with third-party cloud storage providers including Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, and Box. Features and availability may change at any time.

3. Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You must provide accurate information when registering.
  • You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of another person without their consent.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Upload files containing malware, illegal content, or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or connected infrastructure.
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or otherwise extract data from the Service beyond normal use.
  • Use the Service to process files you do not own or are not authorised to rename.

5. Subscription and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. Rename credits consumed by successfully completed rename operations are non-refundable regardless of whether the resulting file names meet your expectations. Your plan includes a monthly rename limit; exceeding it will prevent new jobs from being created until the next billing period. You may upgrade or cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of all files you upload or connect to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your files solely to perform the renaming operations you request. We do not use your file content for any other purpose, including model training.

7. Third-party integrations

The Service connects to third-party platforms (Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, Box, Stripe, Google Gemini). Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions, content, or availability of third-party services.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that AI-generated file names will be accurate or meet your requirements.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RenameHub and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including data loss or incorrect file renaming. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the application. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
